Thanks again guys for the comments.

We were shooting from the main observation area.

They did mico adjust and move the dishes a bit when we were there.
Of course during long exposures, those were no good. So we just would pay attention and take another shot.
We were shooting non stop from sunset to dusk.

You do need to call them to get permission to stay late.
Otherwise they will run you off. And they patrol the area very well so I would not even think about trying to sneak back onto the property.

No need to spend a night in jail when all you need to do is go through the proper channels and get permission.

Russell and I shot from the parking area on the highway so no issues with getting run off. The array was in a different configuration when we were there. As it is configured in these shots our shooting location wouldnt have been very good. It's good to know permission is an option.

Someone asked where the VLA is- west of Socorro, NM about an hour

I also want to this again. I live in denmark and do not have the same beatyfull sky, but even so. Keep them coming.
