Critique: NC:

Went back to Galveston with high hopes and new places plotted to shoot over Christmas.

Unfortunately, it rained every day all day. No sunset or sunrises.
So I had to adapt to the situation and work it.

Wife and I stayed by ourselves this Christmas at the Moody Gardens. We still had a great time. But she knew I was bummed out because of the weather.

We ate like Kings and Queens and she went with me shooting at night...when it stopped raininng. Only to start again in the morning.

Luckily, there are still plenty of places to shoot inside something.
So here they are. Not my typical landscapes but still enjoyed shooting.

I still like this style of photography, and there were plenty of ops for it.

Some night shots.

Pouring down rain with only an hour to spare before they closed, I made it to Sea Wolf Park.

Then of course we had the Moody Gardens Rainforest followed by the Aquairium...

Did lots of macro stuff here to drag the day out.

So I guess the moral of this post is, if you like photography and consider yourself a photographer and things do not go your way, find a way to make your photography work...keep shooting!

This was the last trip of the year. And I feel blessed and am thankful to be able to travel often to some beautiful spots.
Even met a whole group of people this year from this board, and have developed friendships now over time.

So I was thinkig of these things instead of bitching about the weather all weekend. Wife could still tell I was dissapointed, but I think I still came away with some nice shots and it was a great time for the two of us again to be alone.

Hope all you guys have a great New Year.

Fantastic work! Even though the pictures weren't what you were hoping for, you did a great job of doing the best you could with what you had to work with.

Love the moodiness of the first shot, but all of these are really great. Of course, the frog is my favorite. :)
