The venue for a cowboy breakfast - 01-27-2012, 11:12 AM

Critique: NC:

San Antonio is getting ready for the rodeo. Today they held the Cowboy Breakfast in the parking lot of some saloon on the side of the Interstate.

This is my idea of where you might find a cowboy having breakfast outside the city.

Reprocessed last night into 16:9 format.

Yes this is more like it. Pretty view for anyone including a cowboy.

I appreciate the comments. On days like today when I'm chained to my computer working it's nice to think of where I could be instead.

Sorry that description was a bit of sarcasm and hyperbole on my part. The photo was made in the Bend. I was reprocessing this image and listening to local Texas Public Radio when I heard the story on the Cowboy Breakfast. It was not my intention to mislead anyone.

Thanks for the comment. You got the location exactly right. I hiked up before dawn to make a few images. Fortunately the trail was well marked so I could follow it with my flashlight. When I got back to the lodge for breakfast my wife asked me if I saw any Mountain Lions. Made me stop and think about the advisability of hiking alone in the dark.

Nice shot, Grapevine Hills has some great vistas for sure. I like that you captured one here that hasn't been shot a million times. ;)
