Critique: NC:

Certainly one of the most over-photographed locations in Austin, and this was my first and probably last. I drive over this bridge every day to/from work. Two weeks ago on a Thursday I was headed home early to prep for an Enchanted Rock weekend. I really wanted to make damn sure I knew my hyper-focal spot on my Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 ID IF UMC lens, so I thought this shot would help. The lens goes from a very close MFD (about .3m to infinity with the last to marks at 2m and 3m). I found my lens seems to focus best at 2m at f/2.8, leaving plenty of travel out to infinity. In fact even at f/8 the lens focuses plenty beyond infinity.

looks like it works pretty good from here, but those buildings on the right side are leaning a bit....

Nice. I have the Rokinon and snagged the Tamron. The Tamron is showing some strong flare, so now I need to run the Rokinon in the same locations and see how it does. I do like it though.

Didn't bother with any distortion correction, if I had it would have looked a little better...here's a good side-by-side show non-corrected and corrected: motleypixel.com: Photography Forums and Lens Reviews

I would really like to see an f/2.8 shot comparison between the Rokinon/Samyang 14/2.8 and Tamron. The Tamron is a little wider right? Maybe bump it to the ~ 14mm range an shoot at f/2.8. I think this image is quite impressive for f/2.8.

My Tamron is the 14mm f/2.8. I like your shot. If I get more time I plan on a mini 14mm shootout so I can decide which one to keep.

I like it.. I like shooting there way to much (I don't live far from there). Still trying to get a certain shot from there.

Looks like the lens is plenty sharp, most anything that wide is going to distort a bit.
Like the pic also.
