I did see on the news - because of the smoke and the SE wind flow that sunsets were suppose to be more magnificient. Of course now today with the cool front the smoke should be blown away.

The sunsets in Galveston can vary a lot, depending on the clouds, which make all the difference. These two were taken last week on the drive home. It was a spur of the moment deal. I had my camera and tripod with me, so I pulled out of traffic down to a fishing camp/boat ramp, jumped out of my van, set up, and starting shooting. I adjusted the WB in PSCS Camera RAW and boosted the saturation a touch. The effects might very well have been from the fires in Mexico, but I'm not sure about that.
