So here are a couple of my humble offerings..

Man, did you see the sky on the day we had all the hail up here in DFW? UNBELIEVABLE!
And I didn't have my camera with me....

a couple from the Trans Pecos area...

Chisos from Boquillas, BBNP
I'm still working on this one. It's a composite of 3 6cmx7cm film images. The original file is 60" tall at 300 dpi and over 500 MB, so it's a little slow going. The last thing I need to do is blend in the exposure for the shadows in the center of the frame.
Best

brad - I took that one out of the window of a moving car, haha. I think I got pretty lucky! Had I had more control over the composition I probably would have moved that inner tree trunk more to the left, but I still like the pic. The pinkish hues, the bird, and the sea mist make me happy. :D | | | |

There's no way mine are anywhere near as good as those already posted, but what the heck. Most of my sunsets are burried in scanned slides that are not categorized or the quality didn't turn out as I hoped (scanning dark shots is tough!)
Here's one of them that is OK. This was taken back about '86 in Clearwater Beach, FL. It was probably Kodachrome 64 using a Minolta X700.
This one is a panorama (I think four shots) taken back in 2001 in Grand Cayman. I know I should re-stitch it, but you know...it's one of those things. This was taken with an Olympus C2000 - a nice 2 megapixel digital. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
