That's the result of manually blending 3 different RAW developments from a single exposure. Those shadows in the Canyon get rather dark when you properly expose for light cliffs in full sun. Normally I'd prefer blending multiple exposures, but I was too lazy to lug the tripod up the side of the cliff. I certainly regretted that decision.

I hear ya Brad. They're reminding me that I need to find a way to get out there more often! I could go back to some beautiful landscapes from backpacking trips in Washington but they're not 06 and I'd have to scan them! Here's a couple from a quick backpacking trip in Aspen. It rained almost the entire time (Kudos to Canon, cuz my gear took some serious abuse!) Unfortunately very little good light, but here's a few... couldn't decide if I like the grainy BW or the slightly xprocessed one of the Aspens. Oh, and one of me... try to get warm and dry! (Where's a man when ya need one! )
