As an admirer of Ansel Adams, I have looked through many of his books as well as stuied his zone system and other creations he brought into photography. As I look through many different photographers works I see that there are a great number that use mountains as a focal point in their works. Besides moutain views and reflections there are waterfalls and beach scenes which also include a vantage point of a mountain or cliff.
Here on the 3rd coast we have no such vistas. Just flat coastal plains with marshes and sand dunes, rivers, and creeks. Lots of great oak trees and pecan trees as well the brush and shrubs of the wooded areas.
So I want to drop some occational landscapes from the "foggy bottoms", as one old timer used to call it, to see how the wiegh against those shots coming in from the hill country.
