A Few From My Bluebonnet Road Trip - 03-26-2007, 06:12 AM

Made the 300+ mile loop from Baytown through Brenham, Zionville, Independence, Washington and back looking for wildflowers. Nothing new to report that hasn't been stated on other threads. The flowers are there for the shooting, and should be for many weeks. A good site to watch is http://community.wildflowerhaven.com/

I'm still working on my landscape technique, so please C&C.

Here are a few from my trip:

Very nice shots Mike. I passed by that house on 390 after leaving Camp For All, my shot is a little blury as I was doing about 40 mph on the motorcycle thru there. Lots of nice patches along those roads.

Mike, some great shots. Looks like you and I both covered some of the same ground. Like all your shots!

Thanks Bob. Yes, it looks like pretty much the same path you took last week. But then, I did make my trip plan from some of the info in your post and link to WildflowerHaven.com...

I also made a loop South at Brenham to Welcome and Industry, and found some nice patches there, with little or no traffic.

Thanks for the info!!

I haven't heard much about the wildflowers out in Hill Country, yet, so I may try the area south of Brenham this weekend. Hopefully, there will be a lot more sunshine and a whole lot less wind this weekend. Of course, if I hear that it is looking good in Hill Country, I'll be heading out there, instead.

It's supposed to be great weather this weekend, unfortunately I won't be wildflower hunting. Good luck!

very cool shots. #1 is my fav, and #3 would be perfect if the house was replaced by a big red barn ;-)
