I've found a new twist to photographing old barns ... include old farm equipment in the scene. Here's a shot of an old barn near Klein, Texas and an old 1947 GMC pickup. The old truck was used to transport milk when the farm the barn was part of a dairy operation.

I like the image, but the truck is a '65 or '66.

Like this shot. I'm a fan of old run down stuff.. Like the processing but the sky with the transition to the dark area just draws my attention away from the rest of the image.

I think it's an awesome image.
Regarding the truck's age: you have to take them as you find them!

Thanks for the feedback. I shot this with a Sigma 10-20. I'm trying to work out a pleasing style so I can do a series of these. I really know nothing about guessing the age of these old machines, I just went by what someone else (an older gentleman) thought. Next time I visit the place I'll have to check for sure.
I realize that big black hole could take your focus away from the central part of the image so I'll work on making it less prominent and repost later. By the way on matte or canvas this thing prints up great.

Great photo. I was going to say that a new twist on old barns would to be having an animal nearby, but then I noticed the cow at the left corner of the barn.
And, yeah, the truck looks like a 60s model. We had a '66, but it was the Chevy version.

Yep not to far, I am south of 60. but I am all over the area. Where did you find this location. I am constantly looking for places like this to shoot.

I like the composition, but I don't care for the processing. It's just not my "thing".

Too bad that cow in the background wasn't in the midground between the truck and the barn in that exact same pose. That would have been an amazing shot.

I love it! Great composition and processing. What did you do to get that effect?
