Sunsets Texas Style

Found a new spot to take pictures of sunsets down here. Been playing with it all week, tonight was to cloudy for anything.

I thought these looked pretty neat...

Shot this at f45 I didn't even know my 70-200 with a 1.4 could go down to f45. Sure comes in handy when you are shooting the sun, I can't imagine needing it for much more.. I had to shoot this one with my Oakley's it was so bright...

very nice. I too have a few favorite spots around town (but mostly out of town!). It's good to have a spot like this.

I'm waiting for Thunder and Lightning... I have never tried to photograph Lightning and I'm up for the challenge.

Holly, Any high point works great for this. I just drove around looking for a high point. The bad news is they are begining to build on and around this area and once they do it will ruin it and I'll be in search of another spot.

I'm hoping I can still get up there and shoot this time next month for the full moon rise of the cycle. If I do I'll post em up.

That last one is excellent. It's hard to find any kind of high point here around Houston, especially one that would be clear enough to shoot a falling sun.
