We've been to Yellowstone twice during the winter and highly recommend the trip, even for wuses, like Jeff.
I haven't made it to Lamar valley yet, but that is tops on my list for the next trip.

great job on the photos. A lot of great stuff there.

I have to say they made me quite unhappy with my current location.

I ahve to agree with you, the wife and I were actually talking how nice it would be to live near there. Only problem is there is no work, families of 4 living on 20K/year. 60% of the people that live in the area don't have an earned income, they are just rich. But what a place!!!

Very inspiring set, John. I'd love to make it there in the winter, but my wife is just too anti-cold.

Haha, it is a good excuse to buy some nice heavy winter cloths. It is not somthing I would miss, even if I didn't like the cold, I happen to love cold weather!!! Thanks for the comments everyone!!!

I really like the otters in the water and the shot with the tall grass coming out of the snow. Thanks for posting them.

Great shots. My Fave is #16 the close up of the snow drifts. It looks like a nude laying in the snow.

Haha, of course that was my intention. These snow pillows are some of the only ones in Yellowstone that actually get sun on them. Becasue it was overcast we were very lucky to get the sun to pop out for about 5 min so we could get some nice shots. The other challenge in this area is that the sun wil only shine on this area from 3 to 3:30ish, and that is it!!! Thanks for the comments everyone.

I've been to YNP many times, but only once in the winter. Spent four days on a snowmobile and it never got above zero. The lowest was -28 degrees.
Your images are lovely. Love the bighorn ram.
