I like my PWs, but I'd love to get some transceivers that allow eTTL control.

I've been thinking about buying the Jrx set myself but I'm not sure it's what I need. I'm totally new to this radio syncing and only have a Canon 430EX flash. Is this the system I would need? Anybody?

I ordered a set as well. Can't wait to get it!

Charrie, I plan to use mine to trigger my 580EX Speedlight and/or an Alien Bee.

Ha ha - Heather....timing is everything in life, isn't it? 3 sets huh?!?!?!? Very nice! I figured I'd get one and play with it before I order additional pieces. I expect once I get them and get familiar with them, more will be on the way. In the meantime, it'll be good OneLight practice.

I was thinking of selling my CyberSyncs to buy the JrRX units, but I called Paul C. Buff on Fri. and inquired about the upcoming AlienBee ABMax units, and those won't have the RJ11 port. Those will take the new CyberSync receiver coming out that will fit into a slot on the ABMax and from the CyberCommander, all functions of the ABMax can be controled. So I think I am going to pass on these, since I am waiting to get the ABMax units. They told me they were delayed for at least 2 months, so we may see them before the X-mas season.

I will wait till they can control Canon flashes. Until then Ebay triggers will be doing the job.

I should have been more specific. I know they can trigger Canon flashes. What I meant was till they can adjust the power settings remotely.

Looks like they can do that too, but I didn't find any confirmed info yet.

I sense some confusion on what Radio Popper does what in this thread and the other one too. I'm not sure I understand it all either. Am I right in thinking these JRx's work with any flash but in manual flash mode only (not iTTL or ETTL)? Then we have the strobes or Alien Bee's and what it takes to control them remotely? I'd rather have the one that can do both and can fire the Sekonic Light Meter with the Pocket Wizard module. Is that possible with these Radio Poppers?
