I am looking for recommendations. I want a solution to keep the flash upright when turning the camera to the side and taking vertical pictures. Please advise the cables and brackets recommended.

Thanks

I have this bracket with a different flash. Its a pricey little booger but I like it better than anything else I've used.

QRS-H2 | Custom Brackets

You'll need the hotshoe cord too.

Steven

Really Right Stuff brackets? I have the B87-B (which sees very little use) and the B91-B (which I use frequently with the Better Beamer shooting birds).

David,

It may help to identify the type of shooting you do, and how much you want to spend. I can second the QRS from Custom Brackets, and if you want to spend less on a bracket, their CB Junior is pretty nice too. Brackets come in all shapes and sizes depending on the use, and prices vary.

Stroboframe | Quick Flip 350 Bracket | 310-635 | B&H Photo Video

I have 2 of these that I have used for over 20 years without issues. You do have to buy a ttl connector to link the flash back to your camera but you would have to buy that with the other version also. They are much smaller, lighter and less glitchy than the type that flip your camera as well. They will also fit in my camera bags around the equipment for travel without getting in the way.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone have pictures of these being used? I want to use them with a tripod too. I am using Manfrotto heads. What all do I need?

It really does depend on the type of shooting you want to do but here is another option.

I found a speed-light soft-box you can get with a stand for about 70$. This thing is really cool if you don't mind carrying around a 2nd tripod. only about 3-4 pounds.
Here is the link
I found it a cowboystudio.com but you have to by the stand separate.

I am new to professional photography so if my recommendations seem silly thats why lol.
