What type of light modifier will you be using?

Agreed, these are great, at least with my speed lights using umbrellas and 30" soft box.

I use Bogen/Manfrotto 5001B Nano stands. These fold tiny and go up to 6.2 ft. I carry four of these in a Manfrotto tripod bag. To increase stability I add a Walmart 20 lb ankle weight bag.

Cheap.

If they fail, no big.. they are practically disposable at the price.

Of course, if I were to buy a new one, I'd probably go with something like the Cheetah stands.

I used that (and I still keep them) before I moved to Denny's Easy Stand.

I have the softbox but not the stands.
I've seen the stands with the softbox attached and it was stable.

I have some impact stands and even though they are nice after a while I had parts failed. Especially the knobs...

I'm trying to stay again from Impact for now...

All my stands are Impacts and I have no issues with them. I have had them for over 2 years now.
