Cheetah Stand - 03-28-2010, 10:19 AM

I just bought this stand (C8) couple weeks ago and I really like it. I just want to share. This stand can fold if you lift it up. Check their website at: CheetahStand Home Page. You can move fast with your lighting and light.

I have four of them, well made and work as advertised. I did a comparison between the Cheetah stand and Denny's EZ stand before I went for multiple Cheetahs. I also have the well-built Cheetah Boom - great piece of kit.

Just bought the Qbox 24" x 24" softbox last Monday. It arrived at my house on Tuesday! Seems like a really good value.

I've been looking at the Cheetah Stand as I thought the "EZ-stand" was defunct, unavailable, no longer in production... Then I stumbled on this today. I don't know anything about the functionality, have not read any reviews, but currently the price is right.

you can stop by at his store and he has more product. You have to call him in advance to set up an appointment. I used quick stand couple years ago and this stand only last less than 6 months.

How has the softbox performed for you? Do you have any pictures taken with it to share?

Has anyone used the cheetah umbrellas, and if so, how did they perform for you?

And last, has anyone tried mounting a bigger flash unit, such as the ABs? Any troubles?

I've used the small Cheetah Strip box with my canon 580ex's.

Was very very happy with the results:

Model: Nicole Kaspar, Page Parkes Management
Designer: Amber Elizabeth

Model: Angeer Amol
Designer: CherelleYvette

It sets up more like a traditional softbox, with the rods that slide through the corners and hook into a speed ring. I used the Cheetah Speed Pro Bracket to hold my Canon 580EX flashes.

After reading Ray's blog entry and the youtube of the example of the extensions coming out from the base of the Denny's I am trending towards the CheetahStands

Just FYI on the Cheetah's, NAPP has an 8% discount code on them....which I missed when I ordered mine. I'm still really digging it BTW.
