Off Camera Flash Video For D300/SB600 - 09-14-2010, 07:29 PM

For over a year now I've been using my SB600 "ON" my D300. I have a photo shoot tomorrow and wanted to learn how to use the flash off the camera to get better photos. Yeah, I know it's about time I learned something new.
This video shows you exactly how to set up your camera and the SB600 so you can use the flash off the camera. I'm so tickled about it I had to share for the ones that don't know how to set it up. Looks like now I'll need to invest in another tripod. Or some kind of flash tripod.

I honestly didn't know the SB600 did off the camera flash...I thought the SB800 and SB900 only did that.

well, the sb600 can receive cls only. sb800/900 can send and/or receive.

i have a d80 and it has a built in cls sender (commander mode) so i didn't -have- to get the 800/900 to be able to do (line of sight) "wireless". it's nice being able to change settings for multiple flashes from your camera.

looks like the new 700 is also usable as a commander
