Where to shop for materials to make a v-flat - 01-10-2011, 02:00 PM

I want to make a v-flat ala Joe McNally. Anyone know where to locally get foam core boards which is white on one side and black on the other? Last time I was at Michaels I think they just have white on white foamcore.

thanks, Scott.

I'd personally just buy the white or black stuff and spray it with the matte silver spray.

While v-flats are good for rental-studio work, I've been much happer with 6 x 10' (varying dependent on size of your studio) plywood panels on a base with coasters. One side black, one side white. It's a bit of work and expense but it works well.

Here in Houston, Light Tec carries 4x6 White and Black Foam Core, so I'm willing to bet so does the Light Tec in Dallas.....
