t-bar for lightstand? - 03-14-2011, 01:16 PM

So, I havent had time at work to search, so I was hoping from everyone's experiences they could provide a recommendation for a t-bar for a lightstand to mount 2, maybe 3 speedlights onto.

A quick search before I crashed last night resulted one that had 2 shoes on BH was the Morris MH203.

Thanks in advance.

I just ordered one of these. His products seem well made, I use the black boxes for my Nikon flashes:

Ken -

Look up two options that I am aware of (I own both):

Lastolite TriFlash Bracket

RRS Dual Flash Mount Bar

There are also lots of DIY options out there if you are handy with tools.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the links and leads.

Additional research would have me leaning towards something like this: K&M 24622B Crossbar (Black) 24622-000-35 B&H Photo Video

Also, StephenPinn offered to cut an aluminum bar, which I'm considering.

Just in case there are some rowdy party goers or when leaving a late night shoot, it could come in handy. :)

Wouldn't a boom arm with multiple umbrella clamps/super clamps do the trick?

I dont have any C-Stands or a stand that would attach a boom. I did just purchase this to see how it goes, we'll see next week when it arrives.

So I the Morris MTH203 umbrella tilt head arrived today. Mounted it to the Cheetah Lightstand, slapped on 2 sb900's with no problem.

So I'll be mounting the battery packs beneath the speedlights with some velcro straps.

These were trigged via Nikon CLS system via SU800.
