The HTP setting does just what Sam said above, Renae. If you can live without iso200 and perhaps with some noise in the shadows, it seems like a good deal. I recently enabled it and without a lot of really involved study it
appears to give me better cloud details for example. White wedding dresses, white flowers: these are common test subjects that I've seen compared on the www. Most reviewers seem to view it quite favorably.

and note that this is the 1st place i've found that specifically mentions
HTP as enabled in RAW. My original belief (and commonly held on the www, too) is that HTP only affects shooting in JPG. According to the above and my very limited experience, it evidently affects RAW as well as in-camera JPG.
