1: In door or portability for outdoor location shoots

ya know i didn't thought about that, i might want to try indoor first, im planning ahead ( income tax $$$ lol),i'm giving myself 1000 budget for photography stuff, but if i can get something cheaper that would really work for me, i'm just starting so i dont want anything fancy.

Alien Bees are decent and durable. If you wanna go the CHEAP route something like square perfect may be doable. I recently purchased 2 square perfect lights w/softboxes. They are light on the wallet but work (I needed a light kit I can take outdoors and not go broke if something happens).

There's been quite a bit of lighting for sale in the B&S forum on the Texas counterpart to this board...It all seems quite reasonable and I can vouch for the integrity of many of the sellers there (bought my 24th lens from one of them today)...There may be something for you there......Ben
