Thumbs up Strobist Boot Camp II - 06-08-2009, 09:30 AM

Begins tomorrow! If you're an experience pro or avid amateur I highly recommend partaking in this free online instruction. If you're unfamiliar with Strobist, I highly recommend checking out the blog. It's greatly increased my comfort with camera flash and lighting in general. A good place to start would be the original lighting boot camp.

Hope to see your photos in the flickr pool!

Jerome

Ok, who is going to boot camp with me? We can post the first assignment here in addition to the Flickr group. I have to head to downtown Sacramento on Saturday to find a restaurant for the Photo Walk on July 18th so I think I'll try to execute the assignment down there. This is a good challenge for me since I would probably prefer shooting someone from across the street with a zoom as opposed to up close and interacting with them. Timidly stepping out of my comfort zone....

Jerome, you in?

How about Joe's Crab Shack in Old Sac? :D

As much as I'd love to do the Boot Camp, I'm going to be on the road for a couple of weeks.

Roger I'd love to, but I'm in South Africa till July 16, if you'd like to get together on the 17 or 18 I'd be game!
