I didn't see a thread like this while poking around, so if there is, post a link and I'll go there.

Anyways, what lighting equipment is everyone using? A short list of make and model would do; stands and small accessories don't have to be listed, but adding some of your favorite modifiers will do. Maybe even post up any systems you've used in the past.

It's always good to see what other people are using and helps for people to know who to ask when they have questions about a type of gear or light.

For big lights, I'm a Hensel shooter. They're built like tanks. The downside is that they have poor selection on modifiers. So the majority of my modifiers are Chimera.

I use Nikon speedlights if I'm going fast and dirty.

I've just picked up the 86" Buff PLM2 to see how I like it for a group high key session.

When it comes to reflectors and silks, I am a California Sunbounce shooter. And these then to be my favorite modifiers overall. I pair a couple of Pros with a strip light on my Hensels and I'm good to go.

I r strobist fanboy:

SB800's w/ PX a/o JrX Triggers and a bunch of mods (Honl grids, umbrellas, ray flash, lumipro, etc) and I try to use that big hot-light in the sky when ever possible.

I also tend to do a meditative trance for a couple hours before shooting, to try and channel the energies of David Hobby.

I've got a handful of Alienbee strobes, some basic modifiers. Also a small speedlight setup for when I don't want to carry the heavy lighting around.

Two Photogenic AKC320, which I'm trying to sell.

One Canon 580EX and one 580EX II, which I'm concentrating on getting really good at using Strobist style.

Plan on adding a couple of more flashes to my kit very soon.

Various modifiers.

Currently debating if I should add another 580EX II or just go for broke and get the AB1600 or a Elinchrom Quadra system.

Wow, there's a lot of diversity here. I like that.

I used to own a B800, a ABR800, and two Vivitar 285HV's. I sold the Bees as I wanted to get a system and decided they weren't for me. This was before the Einstein was released and after using them, I hated the slider. I think one of the Vivitars still work, but they're in the basement somewhere.

I have a 580EX II and two 430EX II's for the extreme portability needs and two Speedotron Blackline packs and 5 heads for when I need the big guns. I power those with an Innovatronix Tronix Explorer XT SE and I've been using my Photoflex strip box a lot lately; I started getting into automotive lighting a lot lately.

I'm still unsure what to do though. I'm trying my best to convince myself to keep the Speedos until I could afford a full Dynalite or Profoto kit like I want, but carrying around 125lb Pelican case is making me want to find a way to finance a switch now. I like the Dynalites, but the negative view of their mounting system is something that worries me and Profoto is just expensive.
