Question Sending Speedlite to Canon - 07-03-2011, 10:00 PM

Has anyone had to send their flash to Canon to have the shoe mount adjusted so that it will fit snugly in the hot shoe of the camera? If so, do you recall the cost?

No.., but I have tightened up the hotshoe on the camera before. Have you checked that out first?

It's the flash. I have two other 580s that fit perfectly. This third one appears to have a slight factory defect that causes it not to lock down snugly on one side.

If it isn't warranty, send it to Toshio.

Howard, is there a particular reason you recommend Toshio over Canon for non-warranty work?
