Did you ask the photographer on MM?

Now I'm going to have to go home and practice the butterfly pattern! Thank you all very much for the assistance on figuring it out!
As far as a link to the photo I was browsing photographers all over the world and have no idea where this pic came from or who it belongs to, sorry! Do I need to remove it?

I can't answer your question.

However, the answer is clearly indicated in the rules link that I posted.

I wish I could but I don't know it...I've removed the photo so I'm not sure if this thread should be deleted?

At least I learned four things:

One: New terms for certain lighting equipment.
Two: that there is different terminology for lighting styles
Three: The picture rules on this forum.
Four: Since I do outside work, I don't have to worry too much about lighting, but still have to keep them in mind.
I say this has been a productive thread for me. :)

LOL@Ricco it was very productive for me! I just wish I would have remembered the link to the photographers MM so I could keep the pic up for others to learn. But now I know!

The photographer's name was embedded in the file name on that photo. I don't recall what it was though. You should be able to find it that way.

I'll check it out when I get home and look at the original photo I saved and see if I can find him.

Thanks for creating the thread Steven, I too picked up some good info.

For my own info is rule 21 a Pixtus site rule or is this some copyright rule. If the photographers name is embedded in the photo and its not being used for commercial purposes what's the harm? We could all probably learn a lot from "how-to" threads with examples like this.
