I am looking for a inexpensive background and light setup and found the following and was wondering if anyone has tried it or if you have any other kits you have used

I haven't tried this, but it looks like a pretty good deal (backdrops alone can cost this much). I'd rather use hotshoe flashes, but having continuous light wouldn't be bad to have sometimes. I just wish I had the room to set up a mini studio.

Might not be something that would last forever, but a nice relatively inexpensive way to get started and see if it's something you want to invest more in IMHO.

I don't have this but I have other CowboyStudio equipment and it works fine. I have some CowboyStudio backdrops and the fabric is thin but works. I think the lights are continuous lights and not flashes. I don't know if that is a concern.

I've got a similar background stand/support setup and it has worked pretty well. The muslins are a little thin, but you can double them over if you just need the background and not a sweep out onto the floor.

Note that the light stands only extend to 6.5 feet so they are a little on the short side. You'll probably also want to get some weights for them when using the umbrellas, etc. and check the leg placement so they don't tip.

If you're going to use your strobes you'll also need a couple of mounts with umbrella holes since the light fixtures and mounts are all in one with this kit.

It's a good place to start though.
