have any of you guys used them before? they seem like a good idea, especially the ones that have the extra piece at the bottom. seems the "pop" part would totally eliminate wrinkles.
love to hear thoughts on this.

I have two, a white and a gray mottled one that I like to keep handy. Great for simple headshots. I use mine mainly for corporate head shot type stuff, however I just did a wedding where we used it to do some couples shots while the B&G were taking a few minutes between the ceremony and reception and since the venue was not the best it came in very useful. The hoop does a fairly good job of taking out the big wrinkles and combine that with a bit of distance from the background and subject, there you go!

I've got one that is a brownish-gray color. It is big enough to shoot two people- head and shoulder shots. They really are handy. I think mine is made by Westcott. I have an extended arm made by Bogen that attaches to a light stand. The background then clamps at the top and bottom for extra stability- this is good in case you are working outdoors with it.

backdrop outlet has them as well. I use a 5x7 lastolite double sided mottled look collapsable backdrop. Here is a shot taken using it. I know exposure on the right cheek got a little hot.
