Good color for "studio" walls - 11-24-2007, 02:06 PM

We are planning on painting our Den/living room in colors that won't interfere with color problems when we use it as a "studio". Currently they are a pinkish/salmon color that is very nice, but has serious color reflectivity problems. We are thinking taupe/beige or brown? any reflectivity color problems there? It is still a living space, so it has to be tasteful. I would appreciate any comments.

18% grey, tasteful and no color problems.

Any shade of gray or white. Any color will have the potential to reflect light of that color into the scene. Naturally, if you tightly control you lighting with softboxes, grids, gobos, etc, you can minimize that potential problem.
Cheers,

An off-white will look nice and will not adversely affect your images

Now that's more agreeable with me , I just couldn't see living with a gray room.
