What kind of editing did you do to make these photos look so different from the unedited ones?

Just courious as to how one would lower the output of an Einstein below its lowest flash setting.

I know you can control light through the camera & light itself, maybe even diffusers, bounce and ND filters but, what else is an option.

Place a neutral density Rosco gel in front of the flash tube.
