Reflector Help - 10-08-2005, 12:48 PM

Thinking of getting a light reflector this afternoon for a shoot this evening.

What is the general consensus? What works best? Silver, gold, white? Help?

Answer is, it depends. I like the 5-in-one reflectors that have diffusion, black, white, silver, and gold surfaces. They collapse and fit into a nice bag for transport. If you really want the cool stuff, check into the California Sunbounce reflector from Germany. My favorite is the gold/silver zebra pattern. I sue them for nearly every shoot (portraits that is). It's a good combination of specular highlights and warming tone. I also like my 42x72" Calumet panel reflector.

Thanks Scott. I got a 22" 5 in 1 (all I could afford at this minute) but returned it in favor of a 36" 3 in 1 (silver, gold, white). Used it this evening to some varying degree of success. LOL!
