Aggie Gardens critters - 06-02-2009, 09:03 PM

Went by the Aggie holistic gardens on the way home. Getting hot here in TX. Sun was still quite bright, but managed a few without blowing too many highlights.

Shooting specs: Nikon D2X(F11, 1/250, ISO100, -2/3 EC), Nikkor 105 w/tube, difffused SB600 -1.3 FEC, handheld.

#1 This skipper was feeding so intently that I managed to walk right up and sit down next to it [IMG]

#2 Same skipper

#3 Little honeybee (BG is sorta busy, but that's what was there )

#4 Plant bug, Hypselonotus punctiventris sorta reminded my of Dalantech's Destinationson the FM forum, but his critter is a whole lot prettier than this one

#5 "If I hafta tell you one more time to get that daggum camera outa my face..."

Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed them.

Kenny

I say it over and over, but "very nice shots as usual". Always enjoy seeing your stuff.

Kenny, you usually shoot very sharp and detailed images, but the ones of the skipper and dang sharp!

Kenny it's always great to see your work! You're right it's getting hot out there in the woods! I'm on my half day schedule and back in the A/C by noon....

Great set. I really like the ladybug in the sea of green.

Thanks very much, John. Much appreciated, but shooting that skipper was sorta like shooting fish in a barrel.

Thanks, Melissa. Ladybugs are almost as cute as jumpers.
