Dropped by Mercer Arboretum for a bit on the way to Houston Camera Exchange. Ran into Therese(ttusa) and we had a nice chat while we sweated and swatted the gnats.
Managed a few shots, nothing special.
#1 Dragonfly on a rusty stake
#2 Carolina anole
#3 Ground lizard of some kind
Thanks for looking.

I'm gonna hold ya to that coffee promise-LOL .
P.S. Please look at my lizard in the Wildlife section-think you'll be surprised!

P.S. Please look at my lizard in the Wildlife section-think you'll be surprised! | I had posted a question about modifying my Gitzo to be a centered mount and a poster named Timm came up with this: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/801794 which I tried. I'm gonna tweak the mod a little but it works and now I don't need another tripod!! Quote:

I'm gonna have work on this in the fall I think........ | Chuck, all these were made with a Nikon D300, Nikkor 300mm Ai-S manual focus lens w/80mm of extension on a tripod w/cable shutter release. This old lens only gives me manual or aperture priority. These were done in aperture priority from about 3' away. Quote:
