Aggie Holistic Gardens revisited - 08-11-2009, 10:01 PM

I haven't been over to the holistic gardens in a while, so I went late today. I'm rusty with my Nikkor 105 after shooting long glass off a tripod for a while. Need more practice.

#1 Greenbottle fly feeding on a melon half eaten by a raccoon

#2 Male blue dasher (couldn't believe I managed to get that close)

#3 A first for me: an Aggie fly of some sort (has to be an Aggie, its' eyes are maroon )

#4 Plant bug checking me out

#5 A battered monarch still flying with a hole in its' wing

#6 Acanthocephalus sp. in a fig tree

Thanks for looking.

Kenny

Aggie fly-cool! That poor butterfly looks like it's had much better times.

Very nice series Kenny. I especially like #4.

Nice series. Really like that Aggie fly. And the battered Monarch is first rate. Good job.

PS. Did you get my PM?
