Took the wrong lens...

This is a discussion on Took the wrong lens... within the Macro forums, part of the Showcase category; this morning. Should've had my 105mm macro lens instead of the 300mm and extension. Anyway, found a nice dewfall down ...

Took the wrong lens... - 08-14-2009, 09:32 AM

this morning. Should've had my 105mm macro lens instead of the 300mm and extension. Anyway, found a nice dewfall down at Carter Creek and found a few damp critters.

#1 Hoverfly

#2 Hopper

#3 Bad camera positioning on this little damsel, but it had already flown once, so I took what I could get

Thanks for looking.

Kenny

You did very well with the "wrong" lens.

Thanks fellas. Appreciate the look. Tom, I couldn't really tell what that was. Hoverflies are not predacious, that I know of. But, I'm not an entomologist either.

They look good to me Kenny. Sometimes the "wrong lens" brings a pleasant surprise. I am a firm believer in unconventional experimentation.

Why didn't you bring the 105 Kenny? I'm waiting to get out in some dew!

Thanks Jimmy and Therese. Traveling light, Therese. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Very nice Kenny. I especially like #3.
