Another chilly morning in Aggieland. Found these beetles in the pre-sunrise cold; the were not stirring until I relocated them for easier shooting, leaving them in nice cozy places where the sun will reach them.

#1 Ladybeetle relo'd to a mustard leaf

#2 Swamp milkweed beetle on a shoot I moved to a raised bed wall

#3 A shot of same @ ~2X from the other side

#4 Another beetle on a dead leaf

Excellent lighting, Kenny. Question for you: have you tried a CPF to see if it will dim/reduce the flash reflections?

John, I don't own a CPF. I spent a lotta time getting my light to this stage and am just pleased to be getting the specular highlights to where they are not blown out and show texture thru them. May try it one day, though.
