at some shots I took in July. These were from a mid-July trip with Jim down to Brazos Bend State Park. Captured with a Nikon D300, Nikkor 300mm w/80mm of extension, on tripod w/cable release. IIRC, I was sweating like a pig, too. Reprocessed w/Topaz Detail plugin.

#1 Mating robberflies

#2 Halloween pennant

Thanks for looking.

Sharp and crisp images - as expected. I like the DOF of the dragonfly image - give the image some depth.

Thanks fellas, appreciate it.

Dick, no it's just a specular highlight. After looking at the EXIF, I see that I was using a flash on that lens.

I wasn't sure we were going to get any Halloween pennants that morning, but I knew they were hanging out in that area weeks before and the Robberflies were a bonus, thanks to you! Both of these look great...I like that new processing gizmo you're using! It does get hot in the swamp in July, and I love it.
