Those are all really nice shots, David.....number two in particular is really stellar.

I've not been to the FW Botanical Gardens for macro shooting....do they have a butterfly house?

Great shots David! I went the first day it was open and couldn't believe how hot and humid it was. Took a 1/2 hour for my lens to acclimate and stop fogging up and I was soaked when I walked out. I was pretty disappointed with the amount of butterflies. They must let them loose in there in stages because their website claims there are over 6000 butterflies. I had to really hunt to find them. If anyone else is considering going, I would recommend a weekday if you can. it was very crowded on the weekend.

Thanks Jim, Jeff, Chris and Tom! FYI.. I added one more I missed..

Jeff - The Conservatory at the gardens is having a butterfly exhibit until Apr 4th. You need to order tickets ahead of time from their web site (The Fort Worth Botanic Garden - Sanctuary for the Senses) to pick an entry slot. We went at the 3:30pm slot and they were pretty active at that time. Also, be sure to pick a sunny day to be able to get more light in the Conservatory.. The last entry time is at 4:00 and they close at 5 (least the day we went). By that time the butteflies were starting to bed down for the night it seemed anyway.

Nice images, David. I was there earlier this week and had a good time. When I was there, they did have a couple of hair dryers available to dry the condensation off your camera lens.

I'm liking this post. It really gets you in the mood to chase them. I saw my first one today after a long winter. He flew by so fast I don't even know what kind it was but I know what it was.
