I believe it is a Leucauge venusta. Other wise known as the Orchard Orbweaver. God help me!!!! I am surfing the net for spider names. Let's call him "Tom"

Very nice Jimmy! I just know that they are some kind of long jawed orb weaver and love finding them when the wind isn't blowing

I have about 20 of them (that I have found so far) in my yard. Come take all the photos of them that you want.

Thanks George, usually any brightly colored creature like this is bad news to those that mess with it.
John & Jim, thanks, I was walking past a gardenia bush and saw a tiny neon orange glow - went inside and got my camera.
Therese, these seem to fairly common from Ronnie's input here. You probably could find one easily - just look for a small neon glow.
