Flash cord problems - 06-25-2010, 09:18 AM

Seems my off-camera cord has gone belly-up. Because the mount is a bit flimsy, it has problems holding the weight of this 550EX. Too much flex in there. Back to the drawing board.

Went to the gardens with the 20D/MP-E and the Canon 550EX in the onboard shoe with a Stofen diffuser on the end, so the lighting on these is not as good as it could be.

Hope to have a workable flash solution cobbled together at some point next week. Yeah, I know, I could shoot some NL off a tripod.

Ken, check out flash zebra. He has off shoe cords in various lengths. I have the short one and the longest. Although generic, they work just fine.

FlashZebra.com: TTL, ETTL & iTTL — Off Camera Cords

Lon is the owner based out of North Carolina or somewhere in that area.
Give him a shout if you have any questions.
