This guy was not aware that the exterminator had recently visited. He didn't last very long. The background is not the best for this little fellow. The nursery workers at the church, where I work, got a kick out of watching me, flat on my belly, getting this shot.

C&C requested and needed.

Crickets have an ick factor for me, maybe because I remember stinky plagues of them
in Central Texas during my childhood. That one is sharp, well lit and exposed. I did notice that you cropped a hind appendage. It would have been good to get it all in the frame. That is some colorful carpet at the church. Reminds me of the story of the robe of many colors.

Here's another of him. Right after I snaped these one of the 4 or 5 year old girls came over and stepped on him. I guess he had an ick factor for her too.

Dang, that is one sick cricket. I like that I can see all of him, I think.

I like that carpet color- He looks better than ones I took off of my motorcycle. When I started taking macros, I had 2 of my neighbors come running over to ask if I was OK. One of them was ready to call an ambulance. It would have been hard to explain to the police why I was crawling around in the evening, talking to myself.

Awww a funeral service for a cricket! How thoughtful.
My tree frogs would've liked him, minus the poison of course.
