Colorful Moth

That's about as much of an id that I'm going to attempt this evening. Not much happening in the garden this evening except for some uncooperative wasps, but I did manage to find this little one that didn't mind sitting still for me.

Interesting looking moth - sure stands out against the green leaf.

Thanks John. I browsed through BugGuide.net for a while looking for an id, but there are so many I gave up.

I've been having trouble with my homemade light rig lately if you notice the difference from side to side. Even though it is in manual mode, the right flash seems to be going up & down in power by itself. I think I need help convincing the wife I deserve a MT-24EX for my birthday.

Thanks Jim. I wish the back of the wings was more in focus, but I guess I wasn't parallel enough with it.
