Kenny,

Don't be too hard on yourself. Most people would have been thrilled capturing that. Not perfect (what is, anyway), but excellent. Perhaps, next time, get some liquid nitrogen, freeze the bee and practice your settings until he/she thaws!!!

Flash settings for this example?

I just would have set the SB600 for iTTL and let it go. No compensation. Maybe have toggled from iTTL BL and just iTTL to see if it would be any different.

Everything else in your image was spot on. The green to the right doesn't bother me so much.
