The Fantastic G's Really Really Small World

This is a discussion on The Fantastic G's Really Really Small World within the Macro forums, part of the Showcase category; I decided after seeing someone else do this on another forum (and some of you know who I'm talking about) ...

Cool The Fantastic G's Really Really Small World - 11-20-2010, 01:56 AM

I decided after seeing someone else do this on another forum (and some of you know who I'm talking about) that having one thread with all my macro photos posted in it is a good idea. That way it can be seen the progress of imagery skills (hopefully). I know I've already posted quite a few threads, but from here on out, I'll just be posting in this thread.

I really like the first shot Garret. A little closer would have been nice but great detail & color on the lynx spider & her prey.

Not sure about putting all your shots in 1 thread though. It will eventually get so big it might be a hassle to find the new shots in it. I personally use the 'New Posts' function and usually bypass threads that have multiple pages. Just my worthless opinion.

Thanks y'all. I'm particularly happy with the set of images I got a few days ago.

Well, the newest shots will be the latest post in the thread. Each time there is a new post it will appear under the 'New Post' tab.

Like the green lynx a lot, Garret. I tend to agree with Dan on putting all your shots in one thread. Gonna make it difficult for folks to find the newer shots...unless you have some way to draw immediate attention to newer images. Just my $.02.

Thanks for the C&C y'all.

Trust me. You guys will catch on to how it works quick. I promise :D

Here is the batch from today. I'm still playing around with the post processes. I also used a Kenko 12mm ext. tube with the Sigma 150 for these posted below.

Love the frog in #4 Garret. I'm generally not a fan of processing with nature subjects that doesn't look natural but the gold looking DF in #7 is pretty cool.

Thanks Dan. That DF was near gold naturally, which is why I went that way in the PP. Turned out great IMO.

Dragons weren't the only insect out and about today. Plenty of Green Lynx spiders and grasshoppers... but not much else.

I do work off shore. It's nice only working 6 months out of the year :)

Right now though, bored with no bugs to shoot... so I made it rain ice and got some ice macros done.
