Yes, it's a little tough but fun to experiment & learn what works. Like Therese said, macro is addictive too. Your stuck now.

Oh I promise you, the first time that happens too you you will jump. I have fallen on my butt a couple of times while squatting down for a shot and the subject jumped or flew onto me or the lens.

This looks good...closeup photography is about as fun as it gets and there is always something to shoot.

He snuck up on me like a ninja, I was looking into my aquarium and saw him looking at me, my wife suggested hitting him with the macro setup. Also there are two more eyes on the sides of his head you cant see them very well in this pic.
