Closing out 2010 in macro... - 12-06-2010, 01:54 PM

Well I'm hear again to close out this year in macro. I've been extremely busy and spending a lot of $$ of everything but camera gear.

These macros, believe it or not, were taken right in my back yard just a couple of weeks ago. All captured with a Canon EOS 40D, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM and this DIY Ring-Flash.

ISO 200 1/125th f/8

ISO 400 1/60th f/8

ISO 125 1/125th f/9

ISO 400 1/80th f/8

Thanks for looking and a happy holiday season and new year to you!
-Roy

Ah yes, that distinctive catchlight. I'll hazard a guess that your dollars are being spent on the good-lookin missus and three young gentlemen? They're probably getting in the Christmas spirit huh?

Very nice, Roy - that passion flower makes a great photo subject.

The bee photos and passion flower are fabulous Roy!! The good thing about backyards is they are really close to home and there can be some nice things to shoot too!
