Me, too, Tri. I've just started to dabble with film. Picked up an Nikon F100 a little while back. Going to Mercer Arboretum in the morning to see what the daylilies look like and burn a roll or two of Velvia 50.

I know you will get some luscious photos with the Nikon and Velvia 50 combo. Don't forget to set the ASA!

Kenny,

If you have never shot slide film (chrome), you need to be fairly accurate with your exposure.

Slide film, as a general rule, likes to be a touch underexposed.

Over exposure will cause the film to "go clear" (lose detail in the highlights).

Best advice is to be -1/3 or right on the exposure.

Most negative film will have a lot more latitude. Negative film is the exact opposite. If you miss exposure, it needs to be overexposed.

Most can handle overexposing by a full stop.

Hope that helps some.
