Another good image, Shannon. The DOF is a little too shallow, I would like to see the wings in focus.

That's a damselfly. I agree with John about the DOF, but it is still has very nice detail on the legs...looks like you were shooting near wide open @ F/3.2. Was this hand-held?

Hi Shannon, did you have luck with this lil critter as a model? I have shot these lil guys once before in Texas and they seem to be camera hams. The ones here in South Korea where i'm stationed move around like they are on crack.LOL Cant get a good shot on them to save myself. : )

Yes, I am slow at setting up the tripod :/

I know what you mean about working with a tripod... the thing I do when hunting damsels is set the tripod as low as it will go because most of the time they will be very low to the ground and work really slow around them. The good thing is they usually don't fly very far from perch to perch. It just takes some patience and practice.
