I tried, Trey. The wind was blowing bad that day, and I was lucky to get that shot as sharp as it is.

I'm a morning person and retirement allows afternoon naps too.... I'm usually finished shooting at 9:00 am this time of year...man it's just too hot to be messin' around after the sun comes up...I'm 65 and can't take it like I once did...

Agree with Jim on the assassin bug and the heat after 9:00 AM.

Thanks, Ken. My spritely young age of 27 does come in handy in dealing with the heat... still wears me down completely after six hours of trekking around in the unabridged sun shine.

Really nice set. Now if someone would donate a nice Nikon micro lens to an old soldier in Korea he (as in I), might, just might be able to get some nice shots like this to.lol : )

All taken with a Sigma 150 EX DG non-OS on a D7k (and Simga 1.4x tc w/kenko 12mm tube)... although I'd love to get my hands on the new OS or the Nikon 105VR 2.8G lens.
