So, I've been playing with hand holding my 50mm backwards to get some macro images, although I found some severe downsides to this. You have to be very close to your subjects (tried to get some bees today, and that was a no go and more than a little scary), DOF is incredibly thin, and there is always the chance you drop your lens (like I did today; who needs the focus ring to turn?).
This tiny DOF is going to take a lot of practice, but until then, I found some "artistic" looking shots. I do have some better ones that I'll post, but I do actually kind of like these even though they're wrong.
