Thanks y'all. I got these at a new spot I ventured to. Only problem is that the spot is about a 3 mile hike through suburbia to get to.

When I was down there last I found a ton of jumping spiders in Tomball no further than 5 feet from the house I was at. They like 90 degree angles and wooden man made structures. The first place I looked were around the windows outside and some patio (wicker) furniture. We definitely need to go on a bug hunt next time I'm down there. | | | |

You might have seen some odder angles if the spider jumped on him! :)
I'm partial to the first one, its a great shot. Did you use a macro lens on it? I love the DOF on it.

Not sure how I missed these. Great series as always! I think my favorite is #3. They're just so cute!

Nice peek-a-boo shots, Garret. These little fellas can be camera shy at times. Like the last frame best.

Sure, if your in my area I can show you where I hunt. Just bring some comfortable hiking type shoes/boots and a Camelbak. Quote:

Thanks for the liking of #1. I hate to say it but I'm getting more keepers using a tripod than hand holding... And I really do hate to say it.

I agree with your hating the tripod, but I'm starting to come around. With the type if photography I like,a tripod is mandatory.

Well, I usually get around it. But Jim gave a great heads up on wrapping the upper legs with foam so they don't dig into the shoulders. I'll be heading out tomorrow morning with my newly foamed legs.

I heard about it from John Shaw and if it's good enough for him it's good enough for me...
